Prayer for Remembrance Day
Loving God,
We pray for all who are suffering because of wars.
We pray for all who have died during wars.
We pray for all who have helped the people injured in wars.
We pray that the world leaders listen to the Holy Spirit to create a peaceful world.
We pray for all who have worked for peace so there are no wars.
Amen
Remembrance Day 11 November
Lest we forget
From my Desk
Dear Parent and Guardian,
We hope all families were able to get refreshed over the mid-term break.
The first transition day was held on Wednesday with students attending our four local catholic schools. Staff visited the schools to ensure students were feeling at ease. All seemed to go very smoothly.
The next date is 29th November and will take the same format as last Wednesday.
The children are busily working towards the end of term with many activities taking place as well as normal school work.
On Sunday the 26th November, we will celebrate with the Parish at 9.30 Mass all the joys, friendships and memories which have taken place over so many years. Mass will be followed by morning tea and sharing of memories in the hall.
On Friday 1st December we will celebrate our annual Christmas carols and bbq. I know the children are very excited and are busy preparing their various items in preparation for the evening to entertain their families.
Please make sure you return relevant notice for catering purposes. (will be sent out soon)
As well as placing children in their new schools, staff will also be transferring to new environments:
So far we can announce the following:
Candice Rogers: Corpus Christie Kingsville
Ray Hickey: St Michael’s Ashburton
Renee Fini: St Bernadette’s – The Basin
Meg Correy: St Joseph’s Malvern
Belinda Mihalicek: St Peter’s Clayton
Caroline Athey: Beverly Hills Primary School
Rosa Phillips: St Luke’s Blackburn South
Michelle Botwood: St Joseph’s Elsternwick
Christina Victor: St Dominic’s Camberwell
Robyn Auld: St Thomas More’s Belgrave
Lauren Cameron: St John Vianney’s Mulgrave
A remaining staff are still looking at opportunities as they arise. All schools as we know would be so fortunate to have our staff as part of their community.
Regards,
Jenny
