Learning Maths

How children learn maths is quite different in many ways you how you as parents learned. There are also some similarities in how children learn maths particularly the basic skills of numeracy.

Our maths program involves what we call 'learning sprints' which is another way to phrase how maths learning for students is delivered in short, sharp bursts, then reviewed and then completed again.

The video below explains maths and how it is taught. Teachers work with the data that comes from the learning and then explore changes to classroom learning to improve the student's understanding of maths.

Teachers analyse their own data for success as well so it's not just about assessing the students but also teacher practice.
